Esther Mamadou

Executive director 

Esther Mamadou is a jurist with a focus on forced migrations and human rights. Based in Spain, Esther has worked in the UK supporting refugees across London, in Morocco advocating for women's rights in the North African context, as the National Coordinator for Asylum Access Ecuador where she managed the legal aid along the Colombian border in the context of the Colombian conflict until 2016.

As part of the implementation team of the International Decade for People of African Descent 2015-2014 in Spain, she helped to coordinate and mobilize civil society organizations meetings with the UN Working Group of Expert for People of African Descent during their country visit in 2018 and keeps on working on anti-black racism at national level. 

She is currently the coordinator of the Refugee Program at Movimiento Por La Paz and the Executive Director of the European Network of People of African Descent.
